Day 1


I've been steadily gaining weight and eating poorly for months... portion control? bah! healthy choices? meh! Free for all - yes! I am talking fries, ranch dressing, pizza, chocolate pastries (ok time out but seriously, Papa Johns chocolate pastries are to. die. for.), chips, cheese, beer, etc. Just really lettin' 'er rip. Now I know scales don't matter and I have gained a lot of muscle from trimming, BUT I saw a number on the scale that I have never seen before, and probably never should see.

I decided yesterday enough was enough, and had my "last supper" with my mom, Mario and Peter at a really cute little restaurant in Ojai called Papa Lennons. We had meditterean pizzas, wine, and coconut macadamia gelato. It was absolutely delicious.

I am going to get back to doing my pilates DVD 3x a week, go to the gym, ride more (!) and am going to change my eating habits of course, and I am dragging Mario along for the ride. Anyone else on this road?

I am WITH you ... as soon as we get off this holiday of eating eating eating (oh, with some pretty hikes and sightseeing along the way).

I am officially on board as well. I've faced reality, and weighed myself tonight at the gym. I gained 10-12 pounds since last summer. It's Paris, Germany, bread, beers, french fries, chocolate, margaritas and chips that did it! Richard and I started a challenge tonight, to reach our goals by our Gold Lake Camping trip July 18th. An then of course I hope to continue this new lifestyle into the fall..... ;) How are you doing?
