Christmas 2009

Starting with some totally random photos from Christmas
Mario got me a plum rolling duffle bag for camping and "casual" travel needs (perfect for my trip to Alabama for the American Hoof Assoc. conference in March)
The pugs opening gifts

Mario got new rasps, a new loop knife, trimming gloves and the shirt could be a trimming shirt, too... themed gifts!

Wii fit and snow/skate board accessory

Before the mess...

Bogs barn boots

A view of my Life Is Good hot cocoa "cookie pants" (pajama/yoga pants that allow you eat as many cookies as possible) with Bailey in a very typical place. I think she feels that it's a good place to be because I won't step on her AND she will know if I move at all, in which case she can follow). Name "cookie pants" shamelessly lifted from a Scrubs episode.

Hard to believe it's the day (night) after Christmas. I feel like life is flying by sometimes... Maybe that means a full life which is a good thing??
Christmas was nice... :)
Mario made a delicious traditional (for us) breakfast of scrambled eggs with cheese, bagels, facon, sausage (fake saw-suj-ez!), coffee with Baileys and mimosas! I tried a new mimosa concoction which I definitely liked... part orange juice and part grapefruit juice with champagne for zip. It was really good, not too sweet! We opened presents, played with the dogs, and relaxed the entire rest of the day. Mom and Peter were supposed to come over but I think Christmas Eve shenanagins got the better of them!!! Mario and I had vegetarian lasagna and salad and watched Polar Express. Anyone else seen this movie? I wouldn't recommend it for little kids I don't think! It was totally scary in so many ways, starting with the LOUD big scary train and including a ghost on the train, a grumpy conductor, the train going off the tracks on a frozen lake, a creepy broken toys car on the train (with a scary marionette being animated by the ghost!) the giant Christmas tree star almost impaling an elf, etc., etc. Crazy shit. The graphics were cool so I was fascinated, but...I am curious what anyone else whose seen it thought?

Today Mario went golfing with his stepdad Jim and stepbrother Randy. He had a great time, and even scored a 77 on a par 72 course. :) I went to the barn and rode Jordan, turned Faith out on the grass pasture and then lunged her in sidereins. I am trying (?) to get her in some semblance of shape enough that I can start riding her again. Right now she has no muscle or stamina. I am going to have to take some photos of the horses on the grass hillside, it's really beautiful!! Definite photo op, and today was the 3rd day I had them out there and forgot my camera.
I love my husband
