Trigger!

Back in to see Dr. Sunshine today, more blood work and another U/S. He said my estrogen had only gone up a little bit to 695 and he was hoping for a bigger rise so that is why they decided to push me out another day. Today he said if my numbers went down, that he would cancel the cycle. Can you imagine getting this far only to be cancelled?! My 4 follies are sticking in there and were really evenly sized with 3 of them at 19mm and 1 at 20mm. My estrogen only went to 725, but it did go up! So no cancellation... it isn't ideal, but I am happy with what I have.

I got another shot for Mario to give me this morning after the appt, and then another for 6:30 tonight... and then finally, and specifically, we will be triggering at 9:45pm. That means you tell the "oocytes" to go through the final stage of maturation. It has to be exact in timing to make sure that they finish maturing but don't actually ovulate... because once they ovulate they can't be retrieved!

Tomorrow I am shot free for the first day in a long time! We have a busy day of trimming booked, and then I go in early Thursday for the retrieval. I am excited, nervous and hopeful.
