Saturday I went back in to the RE's office and saw a different doc than Sunshine. Try though he might, he could not find the follie on the left side (and trust me that isn't a fun process.. it's really uncomfortable as he pushes and prods looking around in there with the ultrasound wand!). He saw 4 follies on the right side. There was a crazy woman, I swear, in the RE's office waiting room that was talking up a storm and telling awful stories about her miscarriages to total strangers. I really didn't need to hear that, and was already really bummed about the follie situation, and I just started off the day feeling sad and icky. Luckily the day ended really nicely - months ago I got tickets to see the Airbourne Toxic Event in concert at Gibson Amphitheatre, which is within the Universal Studio's City Walk. We went with Randy and Rhonda and had dinner at Wolfgang Puck's first. A.T.E was great in concert!!! So talented. I love, love, love them! They played all my favorite songs, had a full orchestra for several of the songs, and even a girls choir for part of it. It was really an awesome musical experience. :)
I was the DD since I can't drink, and we didn't get to bed until 2am. That is way past my bedtime!! I had to be up early to be at Dr. Sunshine's again at 7:30am this morning (office is a 1/2 hr away from home)... it was dark and foggy fall weather and I could have slept in really nicely, thank you very much! The appt went fine, still just the 4 follicles to be found, so I am being grateful for the ones I have and moving forward with it. My estrogen was in the 600s, so that's good, and my uterine lining is 'triple layer' which is ideal - more good news!
They planned my ER for Wed, and we went over all of the instructions for that. I was given my trigger shot meds, meds for tonight, the anesthesiologists name, eating instructions, etc. Since I am going over the standard number of days of stim shots, I am kind of being pieced together with meds rather than go through another prescription. It's kind of funny in a way how many different ones I've been on ~ Follistim, Gonal-F, Menopur, Ganirelix, Cetrotide, Bravelle... but really it's only 3 different "kinds" of meds. I still will need to do a handful of others, but I am not focused on that yet. I did have to buy the trigger which was another $60.
After my appt today Mario and I went to Santa Ynez to trim - so it was a lonnnnnng day. While we were up there, the nurse called to tell me they decided to push out my ER another day, so now I have to go back to Dr. Sunshine tomorrow morning for yet another u/s and bloodwork. If it goes well, my ER will now be on Thursday.
I'm exhausted - it's not even 8pm but I think it's bed time!! :)
