Fall

Even though the seasons in my area of California are more subtle than many other parts of the country, we still have them. At this time of year, next to the palm trees and other always green varities of trees that we have, you will see brightly colored fall leaves peaking out. The wild poinsettias have begun to bloom, too... The tree to the left was sprinkling the road with leaves earlier this week.

The days have been warm and sunny, mid to upper 60s and 70s, with the cool night temps dipping into the low 50s and even high 40s. It's been getting dark in the valleys at about 5pm, which is a huge adjustment! I have horses booked in the late afternoons and have been racing to finish up while I still have some light.

Lest anyone feel that Mario has completely abandoned the (in)Famous Fountain, today he put another coat of Pond Armor on it and swears up and down that once that has dried, it will Be Done. I wonder if I will have any photo updates of it coming soon? Maybe he'll post a blog update himself? :)

Pic to the right is Linx - growing up so fast! - and Chloe, cuddling in the mid morning nap spot (our bed). They are the 2 youngest and definitely the wildest, when they wrestle you can hear full body slams and then galloping ponies noises as they run around on the hardwood floor.
