The Fountain

Here is a tribute to my Fountain -






I have thought about building a fountain or Water feature for YEARS ! -I have to be honest, I had the vision for it but never realized just how involved it would be. It represents many Long Wet Hours of fussing, collecting all the river rocks, arranging & re-arranging - adding pumps ( it has 4 in all ) from the hoses to all the surrounding plants. Fixing leaks, the waterflow, splashing and even more fussing.

Many of the rocks came from various spots of the Ojai river beds, along with a few picked up from here and there in Vta. & Santa Ynez ; Beautiful spots where Sossity trims under huge old mossy trees and pastures where horses can be horses.-

The Plants in the area include some transplants
(Hee Hee) One of them was a beautiful green (...) plant that Kristen Mcrane- now Schalk -gave us when my Mother passed away- which has bloomed enormously just as soon as we planted it near the fountain area ! Sossity has her favorite too - The Lilly of the Valleys which have come up every year since we've lived here. Even those years of neglet in the backyard. They seem to love their new area & have multiplied to spots it chose for themselves. I know that makes Sossity happy : )
