We had a festive evening at Stephanie & Nick's last night for the annual California Sleigh Ride party... wine (and hand made lemon drops - mm!) and delicious hors d'oerves before rounding up the troups for a boat ride tour of the holiday decorations on the boats and houses in the Ventura keys. The 'sleigh' is enclosed with glass and includes a bar and Christmas music to keep everyone merry and bright. I haven't seen Steph in way too long, and same for Leticia and many others that were there... Got to see Ryan and Michaela's adorable new baby girl too. This is my favorite part of the holidays I think, getting together with friends and family and taking a break from the craziness of day to day life.
Taking good pictures of the decorations is difficult because the flash reflects off the glass of the boat, but I took a chance on this one because I thought it was cool - Jolly Roger Santa!
I am throwing in this last photo that Mario took yesterday. This is a road on the way to some horses I trim in Camarillo... these are poinsettias! I love the contrast of the vibrant flowers with the desert like surroundings.

Thanks :) YES it would be awesome to sail with yous two. When you got engaged and called us, we were on that same boat!!!!
p.s. - the lights/tree is at Stephanie and Nick's house. I'll post our holiday lights... Mario should do that one maybe, since he did them. :)
