Mango

So I am a huge sucker... This morning I printed up about 15 flyers and put them up around the neighborhood looking for Mango's rightful owner. I handed the flyers out at the local vet and emergency clinic, posted a "found" ad on Craig's list, and did a 'found' form with the humane society. While out and about I knocked on a couple of neighbors' doors as well, including someone with about 10,000 wild birds in their yard... I figured anyone that had that many feeders up was obviously a bird lover! but no, although quite friendly, he didn't have any domestic birds... I also went to Petsmart and left a 'found' ad there as well... and then bought Mango bird food, a cage and a toy!! When I got home with my goods and went into his room with them, he was so excited he ran over to the cage and began climbing into it, and scarfed down the seeds with gusto. I hung his cage on a sturdy plant hook in the living room corner next to a potted palm, and he promptly fell asleep. ;)

The cats and pugs have taken turns staring at him like he's a tv show... it's disconcerting, really... But so far it has been peaceful. I let him out and he hangs out on my shoulder, I put him on the towel rack while I showered... he is a pretty easy going little guy.

Today my mom came over to do laundry and we ended up at Eric Ericson's for lunch. It was so beautiful out!!
