New(est) home for the horses

Today while trimming at a ranch where I have 15+ clients, I learned of a brand new opening in a 3 horse paddock. This ranch typically has a waiting list, and was off my radar because they don't feed grass hay (a must have / non negotiable for me). But this spot had just come up, and the ranch manager agreed to let me buy my own hay and they would feed it - and give me a hay reduction in board to cover it! He said if I wanted it, it was mine - that he would be glad to have me! So despite the fact that I had already committed to going to the other place, I decided today to go to this place instead. The other place isn't really a boarding facility and according to my client that helped me get in there, the guy won't mind. I need to call him tomorrow though!

The new place is on 7,000 acres (endless trail riding options!!), is only 15 mins from my house, has a nice paddock for the horses with a covered, matted area and a few pepper trees for shade, is cheaper than where I am now, even has lights and a nice arena and round pen. Mario took these photos today... beautiful, right???
Their website has some good pictures of the facilities, history of the farm (interesting!) and also pictures from the trails...

That is awesome news! Richard was cheering for that! I love that it is 15 minutes from home. One day it will be your backyard!
