Meant to be

One day while at the barn, Mario and I decided that we should get a windchime to hang in the horse's pepper tree, in honor of Hope. For some reason we both had an image of her being the wind... like her message, or sign to us, would be through the wind, or that she had become the wind... I really liked the idea of that, and imagined that she might let me know she's around by tinkling the windchime.

We stopped by Green Thumb with the plan to buy a few trimming gloves and check out their windchimes... and look what we found!!!! Mixed in amongst sunflowers, wood and metal chimes, butterflies, etc... I've personally never seen one like it. It has an unmistakeable Arabian profile, and it's in this deep, rich, sienna color - just like her- on glass. I could hardly believe my eyes! We decided that it was too fragile to have at the barn, though, so we hung it on the front step so we see it every day when we go in the house. We hung two other - hardier - wind chimes in the horse's pepper tree at the ranch, and a little breeze is all it takes to set off the gentle sound.

That is awesome. The windchime is beautiful, and perfect. I'm glad you were already given a sign. Did you get my package yet btw?

YES!! I was going to skype IM you about it :-D Thank you so much!! We love it... I love it, so thoughtful and gentle and relaxing... Listened to the CD between stops yesterday too. I was definitely wishing I had a cocktail in hand - alternating between a swanky little martini hotspot and a margaritaville beachside bar. So I guess even though I wasn't at either, I was thinking those vacation-y thoughts, right! :-)
